This briefing summarises the NHS England and Improvement board meeting held 6 October 2022. The Chief Executive spent the majority of her update focusing on the revelations surrounding the Edenfield Centre. The  operational performance update followed highlighting the ongoing Covid-19 response, elective care bounce back and mental health pressures. There were also updates on financial performance, the new hospital programme and the healthcare inequalities annual report.
