The chief executive, Amanda Pritchard, opened the meeting with an update for the board on the chancellor's budget announcements and what they mean for the NHS, the planning guidance 2024/25 and a reflection on the findings from the British Social Attitudes survey.

This was followed by an operational performance update focused on urgent and emergency care, elective recovery, cancer and mental health care as well as a financial update.

The board received an update from the ADHD programme including their findings and the next steps, and an update on the commissioning of specialised services, announcing those that are ready for delegation to ICBs and those that are being retained by NHSE.
