Board development programme: Advanced effective recording of board and committee meetings, July 2025
Date: 08 July 2025
Time: 09:30
Venue: Virtual via Zoom
Course overview
The effective recording of meetings is essential - whether it be in the dissemination of information throughout your organisation, or the impressions and conclusions formed both internally or externally by the regulators and the public.
Ineffective minute recording can have a detrimental impact by creating the wrong impression or failing to provide evidence of effective governance. Failure to accurately record discussions has also been identified as one of the issues that can often lead to frustration amongst those attending meetings.
This advanced minute taking course is for those who have experience of minute taking, currently recording minutes at board and board committee level, or hoping to develop into these types of roles in their career.
The course explores the key principles of effective minute taking, an insight into the roles and responsibilities of board and board committees, and what the regulators are looking for in terms of effective meetings, along with the minute taker’s role in effective meeting administration such as annual work plans, action tracking and working with the meeting chair.
