NHS England has published the report from the stocktake of primary care and integrated care systems led by Dr Claire Fuller.  It makes a series of recommendations for local and national leaders, and articulates important ideas about the future shape of urgent care and about the further development of neighbourhood teams.

This briefing provides an overview of the document, with a focus on implications for NHS trusts within systems, both in their own roles and in support of the primary care workforce.  The stocktake draws the scope of primary care broadly, and beyond general practice, and will be of direct relevance to members in all sectors of the NHS.
