On 27 March 2024, NHS England (NHSE) published the 2024/25 priorities and operational planning guidance. In line with the 2023/24 guidance, the most immediate priority continues to be the recovery of core services and productivity following the pandemic, while making further improvements to access, quality and safety. The long-term ambition remains to transform the NHS to be fit for the future and to improve population health more broadly.
