NHS England (NHSE) have launched the formal consultation on changes to the NHS payment scheme and standard contract. Whilst the broad design of the payment system remains relatively unchanged, there are a number of key updates, notably on the funding mechanism for elective activity. NHS Providers will be responding to both consultations, which are scheduled to run until 27 January 2023.
