Welcome for staff engagement exercise
10 September 2018
- NHS staff will now be able to use Talk Health and Care, a new digital platform introduced by health and social care secretary Matt Hancock.
- The platform allows staff to discuss five main areas to make things better for people working in health and social care.
- Comments will feed into the development of the long term plan for the NHS and the Social Care Green Paper.
Responding to Matt Hancock's announcement of a national engagement exercise for the health and care workforce, the chief executive of NHS Providers, Chris Hopson, said:
"We welcome this engagement exercise.
"Our workforce report last year highlighted the importance of making the NHS a great place to work, to secure recruitment and retention and to ensure a supply of new staff.
"It is vital that trusts have the resources to do this, for example through funding for professional development.
"We also welcome the creation of the Workforce Panel as a means of helping to ensure staff concerns are heard at the highest level."
