Course overview

NHS Providers in partnership with NHS England delivers an essential one day induction programme specifically designed for new executive directors of NHS trusts and foundation trusts.

This is specifically for new executive directors who are less than 6-9 months in post.

The one day induction aims to prepare new executive directors for their board role. It has been developed to provide new board directors with a deeper understanding of their board role as part of a unitary board, along with an essential overview of the current NHS environment in which the role is set. The aim is to ensure all executive directors gain a core understanding of the fundamentals of their role and the NHS context. 

Please note, this induction is for new or aspiring executive directors and is not suitable for experienced directors. This induction is a face-to-face event in Manchester.
