1. The co-production of the tool has helped bring the providers closer together.
  2. The elective recovery programme group are now supporting the tool being embedded into 'business as usual' performance meetings of each provider and, most recently, planning meetings, using the tool as part of the 2024/25 operational planning process.
  3. There is a view among members of the collaborative that although they are four separate organisations, they are working in partnership for the benefit of patients across the whole system and they are keen to use this tool to best use the collective capacity available across providers for patient benefit which includes equalising waiting times.
  4. The provider collaborative can now identify whether there is a need for a system response earlier than was previously the case.
  5. The use of data enables mutual aid discussions to be more objective and can give providers greater levels of assurance that they're not unintentionally passing a performance challenge from one provider to another.
