We sent this survey to leaders from all trusts. The survey was online and open during September and October.
- 185 trust leaders from 118 trusts responded to the survey, accounting for 56% of the provider sector.
- All trust types and regions were represented in the survey.
- 35% of trust leaders were in acute trusts, 21% were in combined acute and community trusts, 15% were in combined mental health/learning disability and community trusts, 10% were in mental health/learning disability trusts, 8% were in community trusts, 8% were in acute specialist trusts, and 3% were in ambulance trusts.
- All regions were represented in the sample, ranging from 19% of trust leaders in the Midlands to 10% in the South West.
- 14 job roles were represented in the sample, with 30% being chief executives, 14% chairs, 12% strategy directors, 11% medical directors, 9% finance directors, and 24% were in other roles.
