IMPACT, the East Midlands Provider Collaborative (IMPACT) has been responsible for the commissioning of adult secure care mental health services across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, and Northamptonshire since October 2020 and is formed of nine NHS and independent provider partners, including:

  • Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust – (Lead provider),
  • Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust,
  • Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust,
  • Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust,
  • Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust,
  • Elysium Healthcare,
  • Cygnet Health Care,
  • Priory Healthcare,
  • and St Andrew's Healthcare.

In 2019, the organisations came together to assess how they could work differently to streamline the pathways for low and medium adult secure care services across the region. They then embarked on agreeing a set of shared values, co-produced with service users, as well as redesigning and implementing a shared clinical model, developed by clinicians from across the partner organisations with a strong focus on reducing out of area placements.

Benefits to patients are now widely being seen as a result of this cultural change towards collaboration and the redesign of the clinical model.
