Course overview

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the structure of the NHS; the statutory role and responsibilities of governors; an overview of NHS finance; the importance of quality in healthcare and key skills to hold the board to account effectively.

This training builds on a trust’s induction programme to help governors learn and discuss issues from a position of insight from having initial experience in their role.

On the day

This event will be held in London, venue tbc. The safety of our delegates, trainers and staff is of upmost priority. We will continue to monitor government guidelines and restrictions in relation to the pandemic; if face to face training can no longer go ahead in this format due to restrictions at the time, the event will go ahead in a virtual setting instead. Lunch: 12:30 - 14:00

Section 2: 14:00 - 16:00
