Overview

Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to improve quality, increase productivity and reduce costs. It is important that non-executive directors feel assured and confident in their understanding of AI and its application across health and care settings.  

This masterclass is delivered in partnership with IBM and is designed specifically for non-executive directors.

This masterclass will

  • Build your understanding of the opportunities and risks relating to AI.  
  • Provide you with practical tips and takeaways that support non-executive directors during board discussions.  
  • Provide insight into AI initiatives across the health and care sector, and the benefits being seen.

      This session will explore what AI is, what it is not and why it matters to you in your role as a non-executive director.

      Practical examples and use cases of AI from the NHS and beyond to demonstrate the opportunities, challenges and risks for you to be aware of in your non-executive director role.

    • Using AI to drive productivity and efficiency: a practical guide for board members

      Key principles for successful use of AI and considerations to take into the board room.

Who should attend?

This masterclass is designed for non-executive directors, and it is recommended for those without digital backgrounds as well as those with previous experience. We also welcome attendance from associate and NeXT non-executive directors.
