Overview

Expressions of interest are now open for Cohort 5 of the First-time board CDIOs programme, a dedicated development offer for newly or recently appointed board-level digital leaders.

Developed by the provider sector, for the provider sector, this two-day programme is led by Andy Callow, chief digital information officer (CDIO) at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, and delivered by experienced board-level CDIOs from across the NHS. The programme has now successfully run across four cohorts and continues to be extremely well received. Free accommodation and dinner will be provided.

Invaluable for me given the timing of my career

  • Have recently been appointed to a board-level role with responsibility for digital

  • Are within their first 12 months in post

  • Strategic leadership – developing your voice, influencing priorities and moving from operational to strategic decision-making

  • Your first 100 days – practical guidance on setting priorities, building relationships and establishing credibility

  • Insights from experienced CDIOs – honest reflections on 'a day in the life' and lessons learned
