- The total reported community services waiting list in England fell for the fourth month running to 1.12 million in November but remains 6.5% higher than November 2024.
- The total number of CYP waiting for community services was 302,959, which is 13.6% higher than in November 2024.
- There were 821,374 adults on the community waiting list, up by 4.1% compared to November 2024.
Long waits (over 52 weeks) (data for November 2025)
- There were 77,564 CYP waiting for 52 weeks or more, equating to 25.6% of all CYP on the community waiting list. This is compared with 44,936 (16.9%) in November 2024.
- There were 27,168 CYP waiting for 104 weeks or more, which is 9.0% of all CYP on the community waiting list. The data is not available at this granularity for November 2024.
- There were 9,712 adults waiting for more than 52 weeks for treatment, compared with 10,629 in November 2024. This makes up 1.20% of the adult waiting list (1.35% in November 2024).
Referrals and contacts (data for October 2025)
- There were 1.92 million referrals received to community services (as shown in Figure 5), 1.9% higher than October 2024.
- A total of 9.41 million care contacts were reported across all submitters, up by 0.3% compared to the same period last year.
