Mental health
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has today published Are we listening?, the final report of their thematic review of children and young people’s mental health services.
The report, which builds on the outcome of phase one of the review, is based on analysis of children and young people’s mental health services and partnership working across ten local areas.
The CQC has made recommendations for action at national, regional and local level to tackle systemic barriers to better coordination and integration of local services.
This briefing summarises the report’s main sections, key findings and recommendations, and includes NHS Providers’ media statement. It is a comprehensive report and providers of children and young people’s mental health services will wish to read it in full.
