State of the Provider Sector Survey
The NHS is going through an unprecedented set of challenges. NHS Providers, as the membership organisation and trade association for all providers in the NHS, aims to provide regular and definitive commentary on this sector, setting the agenda on how NHS providers are doing, what we should be celebrating, and what more support is needed. To strengthen our evidence base on how NHS trusts and their local area is faring, we have gathered the views of its leaders, chairs and chief executives, to create a new report supported by public data and our policy insight, setting out the state of the provider sector.
This survey, which will be updated regularly, is divided in two sections:
- A stable set of questions collecting leader’s views on how they see their performance changing over the next six months, and
- A changing section asking detailed questions on a hot topic of importance to providers. In this survey we have focused on the STP process
This briefing sets out the results from this first survey which was conducted during September 2016.Download
