Responding to early data from hospital sites across England that have rolled out Martha’s Rule, the interim chief executive of NHS Providers, Saffron Cordery said:
"Care must always be a partnership between patients, their families and healthcare staff.
"This welcome, early data from the roll-out of Martha’s Rule and the progress that has been made so far is testament to the dedication of Martha Mills’ parents.
“Patient safety is the top priority for trust leaders and their teams and Martha’s Rule reaffirms why this is so important. Leaders across the NHS know though that the NHS needs to do more to listen and learn."
