NHS Providers responds to new early warning system for NHS patient safety concerns

Responding to an announcement that new AI technology will be developed to scan NHS systems to flag safety issues in real time and trigger crucial inspections earlier, the chief executive of NHS Providers, Daniel Elkeles said:  

“Patient safety is front and centre for trust leaders, but when care doesn’t go to plan, it’s vital trusts have the opportunity to identify what went wrong and put plans in place to improve patient care before a Care Quality Commission investigation is triggered.”
