A frank and constructive discussion, involving doctors-in-training, trust leaders and national healthcare bodies has been hosted by NHS Providers, NHS Improvement and FMLM.

This is the first step in an ongoing discussion about improving the working environment for frontline medical staff, so we can better support them to continue to deliver high-quality care to patients.

Our next step will be to share what was discussed with the bodies that represent trainees and the medical workforce. We look forward to working alongside them to improve support for doctors in the NHS.
