NHS Providers strengthens its leadership team

NHS Providers has announced that Saffron Cordery will formally take on the role of deputy chief executive alongside her role as director of policy and strategy at the leading membership organisation for acute, mental health, community and ambulance service trusts.

Saffron Cordery will formally take on the role of deputy chief executive alongside her role as director of policy and strategy.

Saffron has been director of policy and strategy at NHS Providers since 2012.  The promotion formally recognises her role in deputising for the chief executive, Chris Hopson, as well as her leadership of the organisation’s policy team. 

Saffron said: “I am delighted to take on this role and look forward to continuing to support Chris and the organisation in speaking clearly for NHS trusts in every sector at such a challenging time for the health service.”

Chris Hopson said: “Saffron’s support as deputy chief executive will be invaluable. She has played a pivotal role in helping us to support our members effectively, grow our profile and speak authoritatively on a range of issues that are important to NHS trusts.”
