Responding to NHS Providers responds to changes to free car parking for NHS staff, the deputy chief executive of NHS Providers, Saffron Cordery said:

"NHS staff appreciated free car parking on site during the pandemic and trust leaders know that many will want this to continue, particularly given increasing cost of living pressures.

"Trusts are often unable to maintain parking facilities without charging for their use. For them, there really is no such thing as free parking. Without this much needed national funding, further support for staff parking will be difficult to deliver and may well lead to resources being taken from frontline services, impacting on patient care."
