Our annual membership survey
Each year we undertake a membership survey to give members the opportunity to comment on the services and activities we provide and the extent to which these meet and reflect their needs and ambitions. These surveys are incredibly valuable to us, giving us useful intelligence on where our focus should be, how to tailor what we do to meet our members’ aspirations, as well as helping to shape our thinking as we draw together our future plans.
The latest survey was carried out in September 2016. We received 288 individual responses to our online survey, from 155 member trusts (over two thirds of our membership) providing acute, ambulance, mental health, community and integrated services. Ipsos Mori then carried out a series of additional in-depth telephone interviews with 16 member chairs and chief executives to provide further insight into what we are doing well and how we can improve.
- 93% of respondents were very or fairly satisfied with the work of NHS Providers.
- 96% felt it was very or fairly important for their organisation to be a member of NHS Providers.
- 94% would speak positively about NHS Providers.
- Ipsos Mori reported that interviewees perceived NHS Providers positively, as a valuable and effective organisation which has a representative voice and is influential on behalf of members.
We have produced a short report which outlines the key messages from the survey and how we are taking forward the areas for improvement.
