Cheshire and Merseyside Acute and Specialist Trusts Provider Collaborative (CMAST) has successfully implemented a range of programmes that bring the acute and specialist providers together from across the Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care System (ICS) to support service delivery and improvement.
This case study is based on the conversations we have had with some of the collaborative's core team members – Ben Vinter, (CMAST corporate lead), Jenny Briggs (programme director – elective recovery and clinical pathways) and Tracey Cole (diagnostics programme director) and Linda Buckley, (CMAST managing director).
It will explore in depth the evolution of the collaborative, drawing out practical examples of how it has enabled change through its elective recovery and diagnostics programmes, as well as the evolving nature of its governance arrangements and supporting infrastructure.
