NHS Providers is the membership organisation and trade association for the NHS hospital, mental health, community and ambulance services that treat patients and service users in the NHS. We currently have all 229 NHS trusts in England in membership.
Joining our development and engagement team, this is an exciting opportunity for a bright and self motivated individual to work with the programme manager and admin team manager to coordinate the planning, organisation and delivery of our governor support programme. The main purpose of this role is to manage the efficient administration of this programme, that seeks to equip NHS governors with the knowledge and skills they need to perform their role. The post-holder will also have the opportunity to get involved in project activities as the role evolves.
This is a key part of NHS Provider’ portfolio of member services, and includes our national training programme for governors as well as a range of other support and learning initiatives including face to face events and training courses.
Proven administrative and event management skills are essential, as well as strong experience of using Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Outlook and Excel. Knowledge/interest in the NHS as well as strong communication, organisational and pro-active team working skills are essential. This is a developmental role which will provide an excellent stepping stone for a skilled administrator looking to develop some project management experience. Some travel within England is required.
