We engage with relevant select committees, topical parliamentary debates and announcements by developing briefings which include the latest feedback from our members, the NHS providers delivering frontline care. We also circulate a fornightly email bulletin to parliamentarians to give the provider perspective on the latest developments in the NHS.
Health is regularly debated in parliament. MPs and Peers raise local and national issues, and explore both broad policy issues and specific health and care needs. We have recently briefed parliamentarians and the government on:
- NHS performance and the impact of adult social care pressures
- The NHS funding bill
- Queen's speech debate on health and social care
Select committees examine government spending, policies and administration, and develop parliamentary debate. They hold a number of inquiries each year, and we submit evidence to help inform these.
