This is one of 13 professional networks that meet regularly (three times a year) to provide members with opportunities to:
- share ideas and exchange information
- hear presentations from peers and external bodies
- participate in panel discussions and roundtable sessions
- have open and honest discussions with peers (i.e. Chatham House rules apply)
Who is it for?
Anyone with responsibility for strategy in their trusts including directors of strategy/planning/performance
Interim/acting/assistant/deputy directors are also welcome to attend.
How do I book?
Attendance at the meetings is free for all members but you are asked to book in advance.
Members of the network will be emailed as soon as bookings have opened, usually 6 weeks beforehand.

- Essex group model
This session will focus on the development of the provider group model in Essex. You will have an opportunity to hear about how the three hospital trusts in Mid and South Essex have gone from being feared unsustainable and with local history of special measures, to being one of the first group models in the NHS. Charlotte will share detail on the development of the group model and broader clinical strategy, and her reflections on how the approach is contributing to the system’s overall improvement for patients.

This challenging and thought provoking session will focus on workforce solutions. Ben Morrin will share his thoughts on how strategy directors can support their medical and nursing directors to address workforce challenges in the system and share insight on the innovative solutions he is developing at his trust, lessons learnt and things to consider going forward.

An opportunity to hear from NHS Improvement on STPs and accountable care with a particular focus on oversight of STPs, ACOs/ACSs and the Integrated Support and Assurance Process (ISAP).
