This is one of 13 professional networks that meet regularly (four times a year) to provide members with opportunities to:
- share ideas and exchange information
- hear presentations from peers and external bodies
- participate in panel discussions and roundtable sessions
- have open and honest discussions with peers (i.e. Chatham House rules apply)
Who is it for?
Please note that this event is for NHS Providers members only.
All chairs and chief executives of NHS trusts and foundation trusts.
Interim/acting/assistant chairs and chief executives are also welcome to attend.
How do I book?
Attendance at the meetings is free for all members but you are asked to book in advance.
Members of the network will be emailed as soon as bookings have opened, usually 6 weeks beforehand.

- Annual general meeting
The purpose of the AGM is to receive and approve the annual accounts for the year ended 31 March 2017. Agenda and minutes of 2016 AGM, annual report and accounts and proxy forms were sent to members separately prior to today.

- Workforce - update on strategic issues from HEE
Our last network meeting discussed workforce issues. We have since issued an important new report on NHS workforce challenges. As discussed at the last network, HEE occupies an important role in the workforce space - delivering high quality education and training for a better health and healthcare workforce. Ian will outline HEE’s current priorities and work, and take questions from members.

- New chair of NHS Improvement
This session will provide a great opportunity to hear from the new chair of NHS Improvement in what we expect to be her first public speaking engagement. Baroness Dido Harding will give her initial impressions and is keen to hear what members think the priorities for NHS Improvement should be going forward.
