GovernWell: Recruitment - The governor role in non-executive appointments module - York

This one day specialist course will help governors to understand the process and procedures for the appointment of non-executive directors and the Chair. It offers practical "how to" advice, includes an update on relevant legislation and provides an opportunity to practise formulating interview questions and participate in a "mock" interview. The course is aimed at governors serving on nominations committees and/or sitting on selection panels.
What will governors learn?
At the end of the day participants will have:
- familiarity with the overall recruitment process
- awareness of good practice in relation to recruitment
- had an opportunity to practise recruitment skills.
When can governors attend?
Courses will generally run from 9.00am to 4.30pm and will take place at venues in city centres with easy access from a main train station. Further details will be circulated in the joining instructions two weeks prior to the event date.
How much does it cost?
The specialist skills modules cost £220 +VAT per delegate (£187 with group booking discount).
